My British adventures: First contacts!

I am back to Montreal, jetlagged, and excited! Back from the UK after my first meeting with Paralympics GB track team and it was great!  When I said yes to the event coach and mentor job offer,  I had no idea what I was getting into, but I knew it would be a very exciting adventure.  Well, last weekend I broke the ice!

Human Physiology

I got a good surprise today. A big package arrived in the mail from Nelson Education an educational books publisher from Ontario. Inside, a huge book, Human Physiology, with my picture on the cover!

They had asked a while ago for my permission to use a photo from the Beijing Games to illustrate a book but I didn't expected the result to be so impressive. Typically the book is for 1st year University or College students in kinesiology or other health related sciences. Look for me in your library!

Keeping Up With Your New Year Resolutions?

Only a week ago, I was noting on my twitter acount how many people were getting busy on the cycling path where I train in Orlando.  Seriously, cyclists, runners, walkers, all smiling, determined to start the year right.  Well, I have to admit, there were many missing this morning,  a week after.  Their busy life seem to have won the battle with the good resolutions. Until next year? Hopefully not!  What about you, how are your new year resolutions going?  Keeping motivated, energised, determined?  Good for you!
