Super ceremonies to launch the « pre-paralympic games »! ;-)
About 30 seconds into the ceremonies, would’nt you know it, I chocked up!
2008-08-19
Woke up early this morning, ready to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games and the little calendar on my MacBook tells me that there’s juste 30 days left before my first run at the Paralympics, the 100 meter semi-final. Wow, time flies!
Equiped with a bowl of multi-grain Cherios (one kilo left to lose) I sat before the TV set and, about 30 seconds into the ceremonies, would’nt you know it, I chocked up! Very moving and beautiful those thousands of Chinese traditional drummers!
For a big fan of Chinese cinema and in particular of Jet Li films such as me, it was as if someone was sending me a personnel message : « Chantal, this energy, this strenght, this beauty is to help you finalize your training in the last month ».
Thanks Beijing, can’t wait to be there!
